Archivist Safety Matches: Lemon Stamp

There’s a quiet charm to objects that sit somewhere between utility and ornament, and this match bottle leans fully into that space. The vintage stamp-inspired label, set against a bright yellow ground with a lemon illustration, gives it a slightly nostalgic edge—graphic, but not overly polished. It feels collected rather than manufactured, like something picked up and kept.

Inside, 125 coloured matchsticks turn a simple function into a small ritual. The act is deliberate—lift, strike against the base, and watch it catch. Whether placed on a kitchen shelf, bathroom ledge, or next to a well-used candle, it holds its own as a visual detail while remaining entirely practical. One of those pieces that quietly elevates its surroundings without asking for attention.
